The excitement is sky-high but surprisingly, the advance booking hasn’t opened yet in many cinemas and especially in the national multiplex chains like Inox, PVR and Cinepolis. Shah Rukh Khan had ‘tears of joy’ after his son Aryan Khan was granted bail in cruise ship drugs bust case as per Mukul Rohatgi, the former Attorney General of India and senior advocate. On Thursday, the Bombay High Court granted bail to Aryan and two co-accused, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha. They had approached the High Court after the special NDPS court rejected their bail pleas last Wednesday. Aryan was in jail for 25 days before he was granted bail. As per the NDPS court, although Aryan was not found in possession of drugs, he was aware of the fact that his friend, Arbaaz, was carrying them and this amounted to “conscious possession”. In a conversation with NDTV, Rohatgi talked about SRK that, “He has been very, very worried the last three-four days that I was there and I’m not even sure whether he had proper meals. He was just having coffee after coffee. And he was very, very worried. And I could see a big sense of relief, yeah, on the father’s face last time I met him.

It is common knowledge in the film industry that Ananya Pandey is very close to Karan Johar. Ananya’s parents Chunky and Bhavna Pandey are close friends of Karan. When they decided that Ananya would be an actress, it was Karan they trusted with her career. He launched Ananya with  Student of The Year 2 in 2019. Now Karan has two major films with Ananya on the floors— Liger , the big action thriller launching Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda into Bollywood, and an untitled film co-starring Deepika Padukone and Siddhanth Chaturvedi. Both the projects have curious ‘drug connections’. Liger  is directed by Puri Jagannadh. Ananya Panday is back to work and on the sets of her upcoming film Liger , co-starring Vijay Deverakonda. The 22-year-old actress, who was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the Aryan Khan case, stepped out to shoot for a new song for the film. The song is being shot at Dream Studio near Royal Palms in Goregaon, Mumbai. A source from the sets revealed that the shooting of the film began on October 25 but Ananya didn’t turn up as she had to go the NCB office, so, the first two days of the shoot focused only on Vijay Deverakonda and the 80 dancers who were a part of the song. The source further added that it is a fun song and there are quite a lot of comic moments in it. Ananya shot for the song today and will be shooting tomorrow as well, to complete the song, which has been choreographed by Baba Bhaskar from Chennai, the source said. Almost a month after he was arrested for narcotics possession/consumption, Aryan Khan is still not out on bail. As the latest bail plea lies pending in court, we now hear alarming news on Aryan’s mother Gauri Khan’s health. A family friend says, “She has stopped eating almost entirely. She prays a lot. She doesn’t communicate her grief (about her son’s arrest) with anyone. Our fear is that she may suffer a nervous breakdown due to the emotional and physical stress that she has been subjected to during the past month.” The family friend says every rejection of Aryan Khan’s bail plea has been like death for Gauri. “Shah Rukh Khan is taking Aryan’s prolonged confinement far better than Gauri. She is not being able to cope with the enormity of her disappointment. She has stopped meeting friends completely and spends her time crying and praying,” says the friend. Friends say they fear for Gauri’s health if her son doesn’t come home soon. “She has started to despair. She is losing hope.
