'पैडमैन' और 'परी' जैसी फिल्मों की प्रोड्यूसर प्रेरणा अरोड़ा करीब 8 महीने जेल में रहकर हाल ही में बाहर आई हैं। उन्हें मुंबई इकोनॉमिक ऑफेंस विंग (ईओडब्ल्यू) ने प्रोड्यूसर वाशु भगनानी से 3.16 करोड़ रुपए के फ्रॉड केस में उन्हें अरेस्ट किया था। दैनिक भास्कर से बातचीत में प्रेरणा ने पूरे मामले में अपना पक्ष रखा। उनके मुताबिक, जेल जाने के बाद वे अंदर से बुरी तरह टूट गई थीं। यहां तक कि उनके मन में आत्महत्या तक के विचार आने लगे थे। अंधा विश्वास करने के चलते मामला बद से बदतर हुए। हकीकत यह है कि वाशु जी और भूषण कुमार जी के साथ मेरी ब्लैंकेट डील हुई थी। उसके तहत हम कई फिल्में साथ बनाने और डिस्ट्रीब्यूट करने वाले थे। 'केदारनाथ' का बजट ज्यादा हो रहा था। ऐसे में मैंने और भूषण जी ने उसे न करने का फैसला लिया। उस पर जो एडवांस रकम मैंने ली थी, उसे लौटाने की बात मैंने हमेशा कही। उसमें देरी इसलिए हुई कि पूरी फिल्म पर हमें मनमुताबिक रिकवरी नहीं मिली। उस पर भी तकरीबन 17 करोड़ मैंने लगाए थे। फिर मुझपर एफआईआर हुई और मामला कोर्ट पहुंच गया। फाइनली मुझे जेल जाना पड़ा।
